Nana and Papa were married in 1934 so I would guess the picture would have been 1932 or 1933. I don't know who's backyard it was but I think Nana knows.
They would have been 22 and 23 approximately. |
Taken in Jeanne's living room on Gary Lane. It was the late 60's and this time I made my own dress. One of your Uncles took the picture, probably Uncle Dan. It was no special occasion that I remember. |
I believe the occasion was the fiftieth anniversary of Ralph and Mary Ambrose probably 1948 to 1950 is the closest I can come. It was at a restaurant but I don't know which one. Nana made the girls jumpers and my skirt. |
Graduation of the E.J. Meyer Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.
It was September 1958 and the ceremony was at Mary Seton Hall. |
It was no special occasion, the year was 1949, we were in the front yard of our house on Wright Avenue and Nana made all of our sundresses. |
The occasion was the senior prom and my date was Frank Payne, a friend I grew up with and he lived on my street.
He was ONLY A JUNIOR! |
The bike was a red and white J.C. Higgins. The white thing on the rear wheel is a skirt guard - top of the line bike.
Nana made my sundress and my hair was braided on top of my head.
If the picture says 1949 than I was 11 1/2. |

JEANNE, MARY, JUDY, CAROLE |
It was my cousin Carole Joan's wedding to Richard Morosso. The picture was taken in the backyard of Papa's sister Louise Marino. They lived in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan.
The year was 1957 or 1958. |
HELLO! I JUST LOVE LOOKING AT OLD PICTURES AND RECENTLY GRABBED A FEW FROM MOM'S HOUSE, TRAVELED TO CONNECTICUT WHERE I HAVE ACCESS TO A SCANNER, SCANNED THESE FEW PHOTOS AND HEADED BACK TO BELGIUM TO PUT THIS PAGE TOGETHER! IT IS AN IDEA I HAVE HAD FOR SOMETIME TO PUT UP A ZAGARINO PAGE TO SHARE. MOM PROVIDED THE CAPTIONS TO ME IN AN E-MAIL AND I DIDN'T CHANGE A THING.
I HAVE HOPES TO ADD TO THIS IN TIME (there are so many more!) AND THAT YOU MAY ENJOY VIEWING THESE AGAIN AND AGAIN!
